Values First! How our working culture makes us an employer of choice

For the last three consecutive years, SPORTFIVE has been named the Most Attractive Employer in Sports Marketing by iWorkinSport and secured the second place among the most attractive employers across the entire sector.  For that category, iWorkinSport only posed one central question to professionals in the sports business: “If you could choose to work for any sports company in the world, which company would that be?”

This prestigious ranking places SPORTFIVE alongside esteemed industry leaders such as Adidas, the International Olympic Committee, Nike, Real Madrid, and UEFA. In addition to this, we were also proud to top the Women's Category for Most Attractive Employers in Sport, based entirely on votes from women working in the industry.

But what is it that truly makes SPORTFIVE such an attractive place to work?

Certainly, it's the high-profile rights holders, brands, and athletes we collaborate with - and our brand’s central role in the industry, giving us direct access to some of the most iconic sports assets and global events.

Yet, these big names quickly lose their shine if your personal values don't align with those of your employer.

Ultimately, it’s the culture, the values, and the people around you that shape your working experience. At SPORTFIVE, we champion diversity, equality, and a vibrant, inclusive workforce. We foster connection through centrally organized initiatives, cross-cultural exchanges, and global project teams. We live by our belief in transparency over hierarchy, and valuing individual ideas. This authenticity builds trust and creates a strong sense of belonging - whether you’re in Sydney, Singapore, Barcelona, Paris, Hamburg, London, or New York.

Unity at SPORTFIVE is more than a core value - it’s a key driver of our business success. A diverse and inclusive work environment not only enhances employee satisfaction and well-being, but also drives innovation, improves talent retention, and boosts our competitive edge. Embracing diversity enables us to better understand and serve a wide range of customer needs. This unlocks new business opportunities and strengthens our position in the market - for example, in women’s sport, one of our three global growth areas.

At SPORTFIVE, we believe that people are at the heart of everything we do. We foster a culture based on trust, collaboration and team spirit, where everyone feels valued and inspired to make a difference. This recognition belongs to all our colleagues, who bring our culture and values to life every day.

Vivi Dimitriadou, Chief People Officer at SPORTFIVE

We have recognized that the sports industry still lags behind in terms of equality and diversity, and we want to lead the way. To support our efforts, we’ve already implemented various initiatives with different focuses in our country markets, and we will continue to do so.

  • For example, the UK team established a network for women to foster support, connection and development among female employees.

  • In France, the employees benefit from health and wellbeing initiatives and get one paid day per year to support charitable organizations.

  • In Germany, we have launched various actions to promote female talent, as well as campaigns to encourage boys and girls to participate in sports and exercise.

These examples highlight our global commitment to embedding and continuously developing DE&I at all levels of the organization. The awards at iWorkinSport are a powerful acknowledgment of our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace that is inclusive, empowering, and full of opportunity. This recognition belongs to all our colleagues, who bring our culture and values to life.
