The Volksparkstadion was opened in Hamburg in 1953 and has been the home of the long-established Hamburger SV since 2001. Over 50,000 spectators can not only watch HSV matches here, but also concerts by world stars in the summer. The Arena, by the way, was named after the neighbouring Volkspark, which at 205 hectares is the largest green area in Hamburg.
